Lunsford: A Journey of Success and Excellence

R.E

Lunsford Primary School follows the Kent Agreed Syllabus for Religious Education.

The principle aim of the RE syllabus is:

“To engage pupils in the systematic enquiry into significant human questions which religion and worldwide views address, so that they can develop the understanding and skills needed to appreciate and appraise varied responses to these questions, as well as develop responses of their own.”

There are three aims of RE:

  1. Know about and understand a range of religions and worldwide views.
  2. Express ideas and insights about the nature, significance and impact of religions and worldviews.
  3. Gain and deploy the skills needed to engage seriously with religions and worldwide views.

Mrs Lomax (Deputy Headteacher) is the RE lead at Lunsford. Please contact her via the school office if you have any questions or would like any more information.
